Building or fixing a PVC manifold system for irrigation or plumbing?
This DURA elbow is a key piece.
It's a 90-degree elbow fitting made from gray Schedule 40 PVC.
One end is a 1-inch slip (socket) connection for gluing onto a pipe, and the other end is a 1-inch female pipe thread (FPT) swivel.
The cool part?

The swivel has a built-in nitrile rubber O-ring.

That means you can hand-tighten it onto a male-threaded valve or fitting without needing Teflon tape or pipe dope, and it'll still seal tight.
This lets you assemble a manifold where the valves can be easily removed later for repair or replacement—no more cutting out glued fittings!

Remember, the slip side does need PVC primer and glue for a permanent seal.
It's a smart, serviceable fitting for any DIY or pro looking to build a more flexible piping system.
